It was so annoying. My arm got eaten and I kept seeing myself and others die.

I know this might seem counterintuitive, but we can go to the winter cabin. It might be kind of a shit trip to get there, but I promise to keep you warm once we're there.

Can do. [ turns him into a cat. ] Now climb inside and I'll bring us there.

[ he rubs himself against him as he moves inside, purring right after ]

You make such a cute little kitten, Pticka. Maybe I should have called you Kotik.

[ well he’ll keep purring, absolutely loving the attention and compliments ]

[ slips a hand into his jacket to start petting scaramouche. ] I thought I lose you, Pticka. [ heading back to wild city and then to his room, so he can head into the hatch and start trekking through the snow. ]

[ there’s a weak meow at the words, and he seems to just try to get as close as possible, partly for the warmth, and partly to comfort him ]

[ as soon as he reaches the cabin he heads over to the couch, taking a seat and moving scara!meow into his lap. ] Do you want me to change you back, or would you like to stay a kitten a little bit longer, Kotik?

[ he’s purring again and rubbing his head against him, so he probably enjoys this ]

Just a little longer then. [ he keeps petting him, so he doesn't have to worry about getting cold, but he'll start singing a snezhnayan lullaby under his breath... something he barely even seems to register he's doing at first. ]

[ He’ll bring a paw to his face, and then lick his nose ]

[ changes him back, so he can give him a kiss. ]

Ah, true. [ childe shifts, moving his tails out from under himself, so he can drape them over scaramouche. ] I still hate that you had to go through all of that. You were on some... sinking boat? [ gives him another gentle kiss. ] I guess I'm just going to have to spoil my little Kotik, make sure to help him forget all about that stupid game.

Yes. I'll need plenty of attention and even more kisses to wipe those bad thoughts away. It's a sacrifice, but I'm sure you can manage.

It's a real sacrifice... but [ he cups his chin and gives him a kiss. ] you're absolutely worth it. Just tell me what you'd like, when you'd like it, and how much of it you'd like, and I'll do my best to accommodate you.

[ Well. At that he'll just bury his head in his chest, taking a few moments to answer ]

... I love you. I love you like I never loved anyone in my entire life. So much that it hurts to think about sometimes. But I'm happy with you. You really do make me happy.

[ oh. that hits him real hard, the arm he's got draped around scara tightening unintentionally. he ducks his head and looks aside, his feelings becoming a touch overwhelming for a moment. he manages to rein them in and avoid letting any tears fall, but just barely. ] I love you too, Pticka, and... and I'm glad you love me too. I can't even find the words to describe how happy I am anymore. It transcends anything I'm capable of really understanding. I just know I'm really fucken happy.

... Maybe after I travel for a while, I can settle down in Teyvat with you. By the time I'm done enough time will have passed ... and maybe it'll be a different world altogether.

There's still a lot I want to see, though. And I want to take you with me to see it all too, at some point. Zhongli could come along as well.
