...you're going to make it hard to focus on that sort of thing if you keep this up. [ goes back to chopping - the tree falling down a few moments later. ] You ready to head back or did you want to build a snowman together? Or go ice skating?

I want to do both. First we should do the snowman, then we can ice skate. And if I get tired, you're carrying me back.

[ reaches for his hand and brings him over to a particularly snowy area and kneels down, beginning to pack a snowball. ] Have you ever built a snowman before, Pitcka?

[ following suit, kneeling next to him and imitating his movements ]

No. When I was in Snezhnaya it was usually just Fatui business, and if I wasn't on Dottore's table, then I'd be in the Abyss.

...you never told me you had been to the abyss. [ he stills, moving closer and draping his tails over him. ] I'm sorry they made you go down there. Honestly, I'm surprised Dottore didn't make me go... [ more often. ]

Probably because I was there instead.

[ he's going to wrap his arms around him as well ]

For a long long time my routine was just go to the abyss, get ripped apart, get put back together by Dottore. Rinse and repeat. But I always survived.

... [ frowning!!! ] I can't stand him. If I knew that you were getting torn apart, then... I could have gone in your place a couple of times. [ he shifts, turning toward him to take him into a proper hug. ] I hate knowing that you suffered so much... but [ he takes a deep breath. ] no more. I'm not letting that ever happen again. If anybody tries to hurt you, then I'm going to eviscerate them.

[ he could say that that was the value he had - that it was his purpose. But he doesn't think Childe would take it well, so he doesn't, and instead rests against him ]

... I really love you, you know that?

I love you too. [ and he hates dottore so much!!! ] ...all I want is for you to be happy. [ turns his head to kiss scara's. ] You mean so much to me. [ going to nuzzle into him, returning to packing the snow. ]

[ he gives him a smile and then

decides to throw in his face the snowball he'd been working on ]

[ childe sputters, quickly wiping the snow out of his face. he pounces on Scara, pinning him in the snow. grabs a fist full of snow and sprinkles it all over him… because he’s a brat. ]

[ WOW!! JERK!! he's trying to push him off immediately ]

I'll get sick if you do that!

[ lets Scara push him. ] I’m not going to let you get sick, and even if you did… that just means I’d have to nurse you back to health. [ he grabs at him, tugging him close, so he can scoop him into his arms. ] Let’s bring the tree back, and if you want to ice skate we can, otherwise we can start decorating the tree.

[ there's a soft laugh at that, and he wraps his arms around his neck. His eyes are hearts now, making it obvious how much he's enjoying this ]

We do also need to bake cookies. Maybe we can keep the ice skating for tomorrow.

We can save it for tomorrow. I really don’t want you getting sick besides. [ keeping Scara in his arms he grabs the tree, and using his wild city strength he starts trudging back to the cabin. ] I know we just went shopping the other day, but I bought you a few presents… some new outfits.

Do you want me to show them off to you?

...you could. I did get one thing for us, but the rest are kind of practical. [ cute winter clothes. ] Boring... I, ah, I know, but I didn't want you to get too cold this winter. [ nuzzles into the side of scara's face as he continues to head back to the cabin, eventually reaching the door and dropping the tree, so he can set him down. ] Alright, let's see if we can get this beast inside.

I don't mind boring. I can still do a pretty twirl for you, no?

But let's focus on the tree first.

[ he will actually try to help to get it inside ]

Alright. [ going to drag it inside with scara's help and get it all set up. he goes to the bunch of bags shoved off to the side and brings them over. they're full of all sorts of ornaments. ] I'm going to go put some hot chocolate on.

Pulling on all the stops for me? I like that.

Hah, why wouldn't I, Pitcka, it's our first holiday together. I want it to be special... not that it wouldn't have been if we just, I don't know, sat around all night, but... I thought we could do all these fun things and make some new memories.

[ he's going to start going through the bags ]

This is a nice tradition, isn't it.

...mm. I used to get to go home for the holidays, so I would get to spend time with all of my siblings. I... obviously can't do that here, and it's a bit sad, since being at home was always nice. Maybe next time I'll have the chance to introduce you to everybody. [ he's grinning at scara from the kitchen. ] But gifts and decorating aren't the only holiday traditions... [ guess who has some mistletoe in their hair. ]

[ he comes over carrying two mugs of hotcoco. ] If you get caught under the mistletoe... you have to kiss.

Oh? But is this really getting "caught" under it?

[ he's going to take one mug off of his hand, but he does use his other one to drag him down for a kiss ]

[ childe's grin broadens. look, it was the perfect plan! ] You could have evaded capture if you didn't want your hot chocolate. [ he's about to snicker when scara pulls him into a kiss. ] ...mm. [ circles his now free arm around him and tugs him flush against himself. ] Love you, Pitcka.
