[ childe takes a slightly different position and the charges forward, evading to the side at the last second to try to strike Scaramouche from a different and potentially unexpected angle. ]

[ He knows he's actually not as good as Childe is with a sword - his specialty is magic, after all. But he's observant, and his reflexes can carry him far enough - so even if he didn't see that coming, he manages to parry, trying for a counterattack immediately after ]

[ the clang of their blades is slowly driving childe wild, so Scaramouche will notice the brightness of his eyes growing more intense. he fights with two swords, unlike his former harbinger, so he parries the other other and gives him a solid shove back. he doesn’t give him any time to really recover, instead darting up close to drive his sword through his side. ]
