The memory is located in the Shakkei Pavilion, which seems to be Scaramouche's residence. He is wearing a simple brown yukata and unlike his current appearance, he has long hair that definitely give him a more ethereal appearance. He's not alone and there are several mask wearing people in the room, but it's only one he's paying attention to and actively talking with. The person's face is however partly obscured by the shadows in the room.
They seem to be having a nice chat over tea, and the other person has even brought snacks for him. The conversation itself seems to be mundane - talks about daily activities and how boring life has been recently. Scaramouche himself complains about how Inazuma and its people are worthless, and how despite having wandered all of its Islands for years, he's never met someone worth his time there. It's obvious from his words that: - he's not human, and he has lived centuries - he is full of contempt for humans
Eventually, the other person gives him a proposal. If he's truly so unhappy with the current state of things why not join them? Scaramouche seems to be giving it some thought, until he simply states that since being around these mask-wearing people is the most fun he's had in a while, why not.
